Node.js engagement models
How Node Signal Consulting structures assessments, advisory sessions, and scoped Node.js implementation work.
How engagements are shaped
We sell programming consulting, not packaged software. Every path below begins with your inquiry, a short discovery exchange, and a written scope before fees are confirmed.
Technical assessment
You grant read access to repositories, infrastructure diagrams, or staging environments. We trace request paths, queue usage, logging, and deployment mechanics specific to Node.js services.
Typical outputs: findings document with severity tags, suggested sequencing for fixes, and optional pairing sessions to walk your team through the top risks.
Advisory sessions
Fixed-duration blocks for architecture decisions, post-incident reviews, or interview panels for senior backend hires. Sessions are remote-friendly and scheduled in South African business hours unless otherwise agreed.
Scoped implementation
When the work is bounded — for example extracting a payment webhook handler, adding OpenTelemetry spans, or hardening JWT validation — we produce a statement of work with milestones and acceptance checks.
Who this is for
Teams running Node.js APIs, workers, or BFF layers that need an experienced second opinion or a focused build slice. We are not a generic web design studio and do not resell hosting.
Who this is not for
Greenfield products seeking a full product team, or engagements that require us to take open-ended ownership of production on-call without your internal owners.
Next step
Send an inquiry with your stack, timeline, and the outcome you need. Scope and fees are agreed after that conversation — see our refund policy for how paid engagements are handled under the Consumer Protection Act.
