Applicability

Node Signal Consulting (Pty) Ltd offers paid programming consulting services (assessments, advisory sessions, and scoped implementation). This policy explains refunds and cancellations under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).

Direct marketing cooling-off

If you concluded a transaction after unsolicited direct marketing, you may cancel within 5 (five) business days from conclusion, as provided in CPA section 44 and Regulation 5(2). Written confirmation of the engagement starts the clock.

Service fees (proposed baseline)

• Before work starts: Fees refundable within 5 business days of written confirmation, minus any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf.
• After work starts: Fees for completed milestones or delivered artefacts are non-refundable. Partial refunds may apply only for undelivered portions at our discretion and where the CPA allows.
• Deposits: Non-refundable once scheduled work has begun or calendar time is reserved.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Advisory sessions may be rescheduled with 48 hours notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may forfeit the session fee as stated in your engagement letter.

How to request a refund

Email info@node-signal.digital with your name, engagement reference, and reason. We respond within 10 business days and, if approved, process refunds to the original payment method within 14 business days unless otherwise agreed.

Exceptions

Statutory rights under the CPA are not excluded. Custom development that has been deployed to your environment with your acceptance is treated as delivered work.

Changes

Confirmed commercial terms in your signed statement of work prevail over this web summary where they differ.
